All Things Esther Perel
I've learned so much about relationships from Esther Perel, and if I were to list all the books (her most recent one is exceptional) and articles and interviews of hers I've read and listened to over the past year, it would be quite lengthy.
Her genius is in her ability to relate, her capacity to identify and understand and speak about the most complex relationship issues with ease and simplicity. We all have our wonders and whys around the people in our lives, and she allows for and encourages space to ask those questions and have those discussions. To take a look at the things we feel, the things we want to express, the things we hold back, how we're being for ourselves and for those we love—how we love. I have taken immense solace in a lot of what she has to say.
This podcast is raw for a number of reasons: there are some amazing real-life stories of tremendous heartbreak in here. Of lingering questions and people left floored and sad and scrambling. And then there's Esther Perel, a voice of calm and truth, sitting in that maelstrom of chaos and confusion, talking sensibly about the most sacred building-block of our happiness: the relationships—of all kinds—in our lives.
