Three Chapters in Harry Potter
A few things: I have a new theory about Hedwig (which I will perhaps discuss in a longer post at some point), continue to be rather haughty about my Patronus, and have quotes of Dumbledore and Snape and Hermione pinned to different parts of my apartment walls. I've found myself thinking about Luna a lot recently, too.
At the LONG encouragement of a friend, I finally listened to some episodes of this podcast, on the STRICT condition that I could hand-pick them, re-read the chapters first, and then discuss them afterwards. The premise is quite simple: it goes through the books chapter by chapter and breaks them down rather extensively. I don't always agree (some discussions are too forced, some people don't love Errol enough), but that's part of the joy -- discussing the whys behind those disagreements.
So anyway. I picked these three episodes (please note that they're only at the beginning of the fourth book, so I didn't have every episode at my disposal) because they are THREE OF MY FAVORITE THINGS IN THE SERIES: when you meet Dobby, when you first go to the BURROW (!!!), and of course, the one about the Patronus. I was truly smiling so much of the time I was listening to these, my mind drifting to my cozy old room where autumn became winter and I met all these beautiful things for the first time.
